BEST of Los Angeles Part 8: Miscellaneous
Last but not least on our BEST of Los Angeles favorites lists is all the miscellaneous things that didn’t fit into another category.
***1.) Take a stroll down Universal City Walk in the evening.***
I have written about this place many times in the past 3 months. I love it here…it just makes me happy! Everybody that we take say’s it’s like a clean Las Vegas. I don’t really see it that way, but I guess others do because of all the neon lights. There is so much to do there from shopping, to various dining option, the comedy club, the dueling piano bar, the movie theater, and various outdoor entertainment, etc. General parking is $10 (although they do partially validate for the cinema), and you can truly have a nice evening just walking around and enjoying the atmosphere.

***2.) Walk the famous Hollywood Blvd strip to see the Stars, the Chinese Theatre, and so much more.***
This has to be on the favorites list! It’s just a must do kind of thing when you’re in LA/Hollywood! Besides the sight seeing, there’s lots of great shopping/dining in the Hollywood & Highland Center.

3.) Take some time to walk around the downtown LA Live area and marvel at it’s enormity.
Downtown LA is incredible! You can check out the Staples Center and gaze up at all of the sky scrapers! It is definitely something worth experiencing.

4.) Buy fresh produce and other yummies at the Santa Monica Farmers Market on a Saturday morning.
There are several great farmers markets in the L.A. area, but my favorite is definitely the Santa Monica Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. They have such a great spread of almost all organic offerings from fruits and veggies, to flowers, cheeses, nuts, breads, meats, and seafood. Most of the vendors offer samples of their products, and it is impossible to leave empty handed. There is plenty of metered parking on Arizona Ave., so bring some quarters and wear a jacket (it is chilly in the morning that close to the ocean).

I have to admit, I am glad to be done writing about Los Angeles for now! I am still going to write a review on the apartments we lived in and Sky is going to write a bit about the hospital he worked at. But other than that…time to write about Santa Clara and our Northern CA adventures!
