I can sum this trip up for you in one word…LONG! We drove all 19 hours straight through in one day and it was rough! We didn’t want to waste money on hotels and just wanted to get home and see family. Plus, we didn’t have our next assignment lined up yet so saving money was crucial! Honestly though, this road-trip was quite uneventful. Our priority was making good time and we had made that drive several times before, so we only stopped to get gas, food, and use the restroom. Other than that, it was a straight shot home!

Arizona was kind enough to send us out with a gorgeous sunrise that morning…

The one thing that was ‘new’ about this trip was our new trailer! We got sick of spending so much money to rent U-Haul’s every few weeks and decided we might as well buy our own. We shopped around like crazy for a couple of weeks until we found the perfect one for us. It was a brand new 5×8 and made traveling much easier and less expensive in the long run. It allowed us to pack everything in it and keep the Jeep mostly empty, which was nice for a change. So we loaded it down and headed out!
