Rawhide

After our awesome private tour of Hohokam Park we headed to Rawhide for a gun-slingin’ kinda afternoon/evening.

Rawhide is a touristy western town complete with a saloon, steakhouse, and fun western shows. It’s free to enter and the shows are just a few bucks each. I wouldn’t put this on any ‘must do’ kind of list but for a goofy afternoon with friends it was fun.

They had the little town decorated cute for Christmas which made it that much more special.

We started off with drinks and shootin’ some pool at the saloon. Then walked around the village and shops for a bit. The boys even practiced ropin’ a bull…

And then we went to one of the gun slingin’ stunt shows. Because of the holiday season they had been putting in lots of hours so the guys were a bit slap happy. They messed up quite a bit but it actually made it more funny. The show was cute and it was a fun way to wind down the day.

After Rawhide, we headed back to our condo in Scottsdale and grilled out and relaxed in the hot tub for the evening. Not a bad way to spend January 1st!
