Los Angeles

BEST of Los Angeles Part 5: Sports

Sports are not my favorite thing in the world, so this one will be kind of brief. But we did attend a few sporting events during our time in Los Angeles. I imagine Skyler would place most, if not all of these in is top 10 list. He definitely loved every second of every game we attended!

***1.) Experience the X Games live in July downtown LA.***
This was actually one of the coolest things I’ve ever been to! I love the atmosphere at extreme sporting events (Sky & I met when he was a pro paintball player). The rally car racing was definitely my favorite. It was an adrenaline packed day that I’ll never forget.

***2.) Play a round of golf on the oceanfront Los Verdes Golf Course.***
This course is amazing! Prices range from only the high $20′s to the high $30′s per person for 18 holes of ocean front golfing with the cart. The views are incredible, and it is a perfectly balanced challenging but not too difficult course. They do pair you up here, so expect to be on the course for 6 hours.

3.) Drink a beer and soak up the energetic atmosphere at a Dodgers game.
We had a lot of fun at the Dodgers game. Baseball is probably my favorite sport to watch. You get caught up in the energy that the stadium boasts, and it would be hard to not enjoy yourself. There is just something exciting about drinking a cold beer and watching baseball!

4.) Catch a Lakers game at the famous Staples Center.
I am not a huge basketball fan, but it was so cool in itself just to be inside the Staples Center watching the Lakers. We sat in the very top row, so I would probably pay a little extra next time to sit a bit closer, but it was an awesome experience nonetheless.

5.) Watch a USC football game at the Coliseum.
I’m guessing Sky would list this as one of his favorite things we did the whole time we were in LA. It was pretty cool and the fans were pretty intense. Parking was super expensive ($40), but it was worth it to see how happy Skyler was!
