Sister in Town & Allegiant Air
Yay! My sister, Laura, flew into Los Angeles last night at about 10:00. She is going to be here for 2 whole weeks; and her husband, Brian, will get here on Saturday. We have so many fun activities planned! We always have a blast together, and I am just so excited that she is here! I got her her very own beach survival kit for her birthday: an awesome Nike bag stocked with SPF lip gloss, hand sanitizer, purse sized Kleenex, gum, and an awesome water bottle! Now she’s all set and ready to hit the beach and to go hiking!
LAX airport was actually much less congested last night than it was when my mom arrived a few weeks ago. It doesn’t make any sense either, because they both flew in on Sunday nights at almost the exact same time, and on the same airline. So just like L.A. traffic, there is no rhyme or reason to the congestion.
Laura and my mom both flew in on Allegiant. It’s the same airline Skyler and I flew on when we visited Jeff & Sheri last summer. It is a great discount airline where you can book some killer deals. Laura’s trip was $19.99 each way (plus fees and luggage) from Springfield, MO to LAX. Pretty incredible! They don’t offer flights too/from very many cities, but it is definitely worth checking into for your next vacation. Be warned that their flights do tend to run late often. And be careful not to get tricked into adding the million up-sell options when booking. They charge extra for EVERYTHING. But as long as you’re fine with a no-frills style flight, I think you will be pleased with Allegiant.
OK, back to Soap Operas with Laura. Cheers to a fantastic 2 weeks with my sister!
