Copper Creek Inn Cabins & Lodge

After an awesome day learning all about Mount St. Helens, Skyler and I made our way to Copper Creek Inn just outside of Mount Rainier National Park. We had done some research online and really wanted to stay in a cute cabin for the night, and this place fit the bill!

We chose the Art Studio Cabin because it sat close enough to Copper Creek that you could hear the rushing water from bed, and the private hot tub sat right on the creek. Perfect for a romantic getaway!

Once we arrived and checked in we headed straight to the restaurant to grab some dinner. They had pretty descent reviews online…but we kind of think that’s because it’s one of the only restaurants within reasonable driving distance. The place was cute and service was pretty good, don’t get me wrong. But the food, not so much! It was overpriced and bleh!

I ordered the Black and Blue New York Steak and Skyler ordered the Wild Alaskan Blackberry Salmon. Mine was very tough and instead of blackened it was just smothered in gooey thick seasoning. And Skyler’s salmon was super fishy. Yuck! The blackberry pie that they are famous for was pretty good. And they had Moose Drool Beer on special which was great! After leaving we wished we would have saved our money and just spent a couple of bucks on a pack of hotdogs and some marshmallows and made good use of the fire pit. Oh well, live and learn.

After dinner we enjoyed a nice and relaxing soak in the hot tub overlooking Copper Creek. It was the perfect way to end a fantastic day! The cabin itself was very nice and even well stocked for extended stay guests. The only issue we had was that the fireplace didn’t work. We had a lot of fun reading through the guest books before bed. Some of the stuff people will write is hilarious!!! And there was a fun ‘hide the dollar bill’ game some people started that we continued. All-in-all, we had a great experience at Copper Creek Inn and I definitely recommend staying there when you visit Mount Rainier!
