Hey Valorie! We sold our house shortly after we started traveling, so we now maintain permanent residency at Skyler's parents' house. We pay them monthly rent, receive our mail there, and actually store all of our belongings that we don't travel with there. We visit a couple of times a year and also try to do an assignment there every couple of years. We do all of these things to stay on the up-&-up with the IRS in case we are ever audited. It would be too much stress for us to try to maintain our own home otherwise. Especially since we are from MO in the middle of tornado alley and icy winters...we would always be worrying! Hope this helps! And thanks so much for checking out my blog! I am actually going to start a series beginning this Wednesday with tips/info specifically for travelers. That was always my intentions but I seem to blog more about our fun times than I do about helpful info. :)
